How we treat each other.

The Vine works because members trust each other. Every member agrees to this code when they join.

1. Give before you ask. Share knowledge, make introductions and help others before you look for help yourself.
2. Ask for introductions with context. Explain who you want to meet and why. The more specific, the better the introduction.
3. No harvesting or mass solicitation. Do not copy the directory, build lists from it, or contact members in bulk.
4. Respect confidentiality. What is shared in Vine Sessions and private conversations stays there unless everyone agrees otherwise.
5. Commercial discussions are welcome; indiscriminate pitching is not. Business is the point. Unwanted sales pitches are not.
6. Honour host, ticket and hospitality rules. Our property partners trust us with their inventory. Follow their terms, and cancel in good time if you cannot attend.
7. Represent The Vine professionally. At experiences and in every conversation with another member.

Breaches may lead to suspension or cancellation of membership. Concerns can be raised in confidence with info@the-vine.co.za.
